Poole's Mill Landing
Poole’s Mill Landing is one of the Edisto River’s many popular river access point. Located just off of the SC Highway 3 bridge near the Lexington County line, this landing features a beautiful clearing with a wealth of natural vegetation and wildlife habitats, this section of the North Fork of the Edisto River has been known for its natural beauty, especially during the autumn months when the leaves on the trees begin to change colors.
This access point is less than a mile away from the bridge on the left side, although there is limited parking. Located at river mile 67.3, you won’t find another until you travel another 7.2 miles further down stream. There is a boat ramp available for public use and no fee involved.
Boat recreation is popular in this region of the river, and you will likely find many local inhabitants enjoying the tranquil waters of the this slow-moving blackwater river area. Local flora and fauna include the white tailed deer, eastern wild turkey, and bald cypress trees dotting the landscape.
